Tenterden & District Men's Shed

Welcome to our temporary home page

While the Shed is in its set-up phase, Tenterden Volunteer Centre thought they would give it its own space on the website. Once up and running, a priority will be for the Shed to have its own website. Until then, we'll post details of progress here.

If you'd like to contact us about the Shed, drop us an email at   tenterdenmensshed@gmail.com   and of course we'll be happy to put you on our mailing list.

The next two meetings -

At the first, on Tuesday 19th November between 10am and 12pm, we're holding a general meeting to present the results of the initial set-up phase and then in an open discussion to seek attendees views on how the Shed should evolve. In the circular we're sending out we attach a questionnaire seeking people's views. This can be filled in electronically and returned by email or brought to the meeting. (We'd be ever so grateful)

We held a successful initial meeting at the Tesco meeting room on Tuesday 3rd September. For a report of the meeting and the agenda for the next meeting - click here.

Here's our new home. It's located at the end of Church Road.

It comprises a good sized corner room 23ft by 12ft which will be the secure workshop, toilet and kitchen facilities and a large meeting room provides plenty of room for socialising and games.

Here's a little curiosity.  During a Google search we found the following:

https://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Nonprofit-Organization/Cranbrook-Mens-Shed-1092338210899268/

Was this a neighbouring shed we hadn't heard about? The plot thickened with mention of Tenterden as in the district. The clue was a mention of "blokes" and yes the shed is in Western Australia.
